At MOXON not only do we have this wonderful online site, full of our favourite products from around the world, but we also sell our products to amazing stores around the world, meaning you can shop MOXON products in a store near you.
The founder and CEO of Cass Art, Mark Cass, was kind enough to answer our questions and get involved in this series where we introduce you to some of the fantastic business owners that we work with and give you an insight into their story and store. With that being said... let us introduce Cass Art!
Describe your shop in 3 words, what can people find when they visit you?
Inspirational – our Shops are designed to help and inspire you
Colour – we’ve been described as a ‘sweet shop for artists’
Expertise – Our staff are artists and ready to offer advice
What is the best thing about being a store owner / buyer?
Meeting customers! From beginners to professional artists, I always enjoy hearing what creative projects our customers have and how we’re helping them to realise their creative talents.
The biggest challenge?
Students! They are the artists of tomorrow and ensuring we stay relevant in a rapidly changing world & meet their needs keeps us all young at heart!
What inspires you?
The ongoing ability to support artists across the UK through all our channels gives me my daily passion. I am lucky that I spend nearly all my time with artists whether it be in our stores with customers or our Staff artists, at exhibitions, our members of SAA or working with our other key partners across the creative space.
What is your Best-selling product? And personal favourite? Are they the same thing?
We stock thousands of products across, painting, drawing, crafting… there’s something for everyone at Cass Art, including great sketchbooks from Karst of course! For bestsellers, Cotman Watercolour sets are very popular but it’s been great to see our Cass Art Collection growing too – a range of affordable & quality art materials that brings new customers into each category. Personally, you’ll find me happiest with a can of Spray Paint in my hand.
When thinking about the year ahead, what are you most excited for?
2024 marks 40 years since I first founded Cass Art’s first shop at 13 Charing Cross Road. We’ll be celebrating this milestone in true Cass Art style as well as launching new products and something very big, which will be announced at the start of the year… watch this space!
With multiple locations across the country, check out Cass Art's website to find the closest store to you!
